CURRENT STATUS: ENACTED
This year, the Colorado legislature introduced SB068. If passed, this bill would dramatically expand access to Death with Dignity by reducing waiting periods and increasing the number of healthcare practitioners who are allowed to assist patients during the medical aid in dying process. The bill has now passed the state Senate and is working its way through the state House.

Death with Dignity laws have been proven effective at improving healthcare quality at the end of life, regardless of whether or not an individual chooses to hasten their death. And that is why more patients deserve to have access to it!

Colorado End of Life Options Act Passes
In November, Colorado voters pass Proposition 106, the End of Life Options Act, by 65 to 35 percent. The law goes into effect on December 16.
