In the two weeks from August 12 to August 25, 2019:
- A district judge in New Jersey placed a temporary restraining order on the Aid in Dying for the Terminally Ill Act; the state Supreme Court rejected the Attorney General’s appeal and sent the matter to an Appellate Court. Implementation of the law is halted at least until October 23.
- HBO aired (and widely promoted) the documentary “Alternate Endings: Six New Ways to Die in America”, which includes a story of a California man who used the End of Life Option Act.
